OHA Health Equity and Inclusion Technical Assistance Providers
June 2015 to September 2016
OHA contracted with Interface Network to provide equity and inclusion technical assistance and training to CCOs and health care providers and to provide strategic planning and public policy consulting for healthcare leaders in Oregon. Technical assistance was provided to improve the capacity of health professionals and healthcare delivery systems to develop, implement, and refine organizational strategies, including cultural competency training, organizational cultural competence assessments, organizational Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategic planning, creating REL data collection tools, health literacy training, and other health equity related best practices. -
Family Care Diversity and Cultural Competency Focus Groups and Training
December 2015 to September 2016
Interface Network was contracted by OHA and Family Care to develop and conduct a focus group study of Family Care staff relative to the quality of service provided to diverse internal and external customers and non-English proficient customers. Six focus groups were conducted in May 2016. A comprehensive report containing a data summary, findings, and recommendations was submitted to Family Care. -
Empowerment and Leadership for Youth and Young Adults Program
2009 to Present
A WIOA-funded, Youth Opportunity Program providing job skills training, workforce development training, and career awareness to low income youth (ages 16 to 24) in Marion County. The program is inclusive and accepts youth from all backgrounds but specifically targets diverse, low-income, disadvantaged or at risk youth, including homeless youth, unaccompanied youth, runaways, youth in foster care, individuals with disabilities, teen parents, criminal/juvenile justice involved individuals, ethnic minorities, and youth in rural communities. Interface Network develops and distributes program outreach and enrollment materials to promote, recruit, and enroll diverse youth in the ELY Program. All ELY materials are available in English and Spanish and in other languages upon request.
